It is a synthetic, broad-spectrum, bactericidal antibiotic indicated for the treatment of diseases of fish caused by bacteria susceptible to florfenicol. AQUAFLOR inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, and is active against a number of bacterial pathogens in fish (including Aeromonas salmonicida, Vibrio salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum, Yersinia ruckeri, Edwardsiella ictaluri, Edwardsiella tarda, Streptococcusspp. Flavobacterium columnare, Flavobacterium psychrophilum, Renibacterium salmoninarum, Piscirickettsia salmonis and Photobacterium damselae subsp.piscicida).

Tribrissen® is active against a wide spectrum of bacterial pathogens, both gram-negative and gram-positive. It is bactericidal against susceptible strains and is often effective against sulfonamide-resistant organisms. Proven effective against the following pathogens: Vibrio spp, Pasteurella species, Streptococcus species, Yersinia ruckeri, Aeromonas salmponicida, Photobacterium piscicida.
